Wicked Lipstick

Halloween is just around the corner and there’s no better time to get into the spirit of the season! Try updating your fall look with darker and deeper colors such as rich plums and earth tones. Our favorite lipstick for this look is none other than Elizabeth Grady’s Wicked. The long lasting, matte finish and  Wicked’s deep purple, wine color makes it a must have.

To apply this lipstick, or any lip shade, you may begin by gently exfoliating your lips. You can choose to omit this step if you don’t have a scrub hanging around or use a mixture of brown sugar and honey. Next, line your lips with a similar shade of lip liner (try the Elizabeth Grady Plum Perfect liner). Next, apply the lipstick, starting with your lower lip. For your upper lip, make sure to define your cupids bow, and then blend together. Lastly, go back over with the lip liner to fill in any gaps and smooth out any creases. Looking for a little shine? Dab a little Elizabeth Grady Red Carpet lip gloss on the center of your lower lip and blened out towards the corners of your mouth.

Fall is the perfect to pumpkin spice up a look with these darker shades. You can pair Wicked with a variety of colors with warm undertones. Try Elizabeth Grady’s Eastern Dawn Pure Mineral Eye Shadow Trio. Tea Rose matte blush rounds out your prefect fall look.

In the past few years, darker lip shades have become far more mainstream and acceptable to wear, sometimes even in the workplace! Lorde and Rihanna have made this look more popular and acceptable for every day wear. Afraid of looking scary at work? Use it as part of your own Halloween costume! Glam up your witch or other spooky looks with Wicked.

You can purchase Wicked for $17 or any other items in our  makeup collection at any Elizabeth Grady location.
